Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in West Sussex – the South African-style wine and leisure destination created by entrepreneur Penny Streeter OBE at the 240-acre Grade I Listed woodland estate – is launching a sculpture park with a major exhibition of work by the celebrated South African artist Anton Smit.
Penny Streeter acquired Leonardslee in 2017 and reopened if after two years of intensive restoration work, following eight years’ closure and neglect. Leonardslee features the first commercial planting of Pinotage in the UK. Attractions include wine tastings and tours – including of the 15-hectare vineyard at Mannings Golf and Wine Estate, just three miles away and also owned by Penny Streeter.
