Job description

Reporting to the Head of Exports & Travel Retail, the new team member will be responsible for driving growth within existing markets and developing new ones, covering all aspects of distributor management, with an opportunity to prospect, develop and take full P&L responsibility for a selection of new markets.

The main responsibilities of the International Sales Executive:

·         Management of distributor relationships, activations & market requirements

·         Prospecting, developing & budgeting for a new set of export markets

·         Running in-market special projects

·         Market visits

·         Liaison with trade & government bodies

·         Development of export marketing materials

·         Assisting with and processing all aspects of export administration

·         Market and project research

Preferred Skills

We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Out-bound sales experience with a proven track record is a prerequisite - territory management, full P&L responsibility (not necessarily export)
  • Wine knowledge & engagement – preferably a minimum of WSET Level 2, and an ambition to follow a study programme to WSET Level 4 (Diploma)
  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad regularly, occasionally for up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Computer literate (in particular Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and social media savvy, with strong oral, written & presentation skills
  • Self-starter, energetic, organised, ambitious, good interpersonal skills
  • Home-based ideally in South East England (proximity to the winery would be beneficial)
  • Extra language would be an asset (French, German)
