WSTA Brexit Series - parts 1 & 2

*Please note that this is a WSTA member-only event*

The WSTA is holding two member exclusive seminars on Wednesday 4th July and Thursday 5th July 2018. Straight after the June EU Council, these sessions will provide insight into the negotiations so far and those yet to come with Brexit only 9 months away.

For those interested in just the politics, the first seminar will update members on the outcome of the negotiations so far, and for those more interested in the more technical aspects of Brexit, the acronym heavy Thursday session will give insight into issues surrounding the physical movement of goods. Those of you who are utterly gripped (or utterly baffled) by Brexit are more than welcome to attend both mornings to keep your minds at ease over the summer holidays!

Both events are member only, free to attend, and will take place from 10am – 1pm with tea, coffee and pastries served from 9.30am at the Marlin Waterloo, 111 Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 7HR. Speakers will be announced in due course.

If you wish to attend both seminars, please register separately for each

The politics of the next 9 months: successes and stumbling blocks

It has been nearly two years since the UK voted to leave the European Union. Are we any wiser?

This seminar will aim to update members on the outcome of the negotiations so far, and the upcoming political hurdles of the months leading up to day one of the transitional period.

WSTA Brexit workshop part 2 – Thursday 5th July 2018

What happens on day 1?

While workshop one seeks to work out when day 1 will be and how we can get there, this seminar looks at what day 1 might look like in the future.

Looking ahead, this technical seminar aims to look in-depth at the practical requirements to move goods from A to B.
