Fraud hits your business’ bottom line, so control and mitigation measures have a real and virtuous impact.  David Richardson will be reviewing the types of fraud that affect the alcohol industry.  He will then identify ways the WSTA can help you identify preventative measures.

How will Brexit feel - hard, soft, frictionless? Simon Stannard reflects on the challenges facing the industry as we countdown to Brexit, asks what action the industry should be taking over the next 22 months and outlines what the WSTA is doing to ensure the concerns of the industry are listened to by Governments.

Brexit, inflation, currency fluctuation and duty rates all affect sales. The alcohol industry is accustomed to some, others are new variables. In the coming months and years, we will see what effect they are to have on the UK alcohol market. Ciaran will offer a sneak preview in to the forthcoming WSTA Q2 Market Report and how members benefit can from exclusive access to such data.

Over 15,000 wine professionals, from over 40 countries worldwide, are expected at this year's London International Wine Fair. Visitors include on and off-trade professionals - restaurant and bar trade, independent retail and regional wholesale, and from the convenience and multiple retailers.

The event runs from 22-24 May 2017 and the WSTA will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions from our stand, B24 on the ground floor, close to the Artisan Bakery. You can also catch WSTA CEO, Miles Beale, at 12pm at the LWF Brexit debate and at 3pm on Monday 21st May when he presents on the current issues and challenges affecting the UK wine industry as we head towards Brexit.
