Gavin Partington - Interim Chief Executive
Gavin is responsible for the WSTA communications strategy, including work on all aspects of the Association’s public relations and public affairs work and acting as media spokesman. A former consultant at Brunswick, he has worked in a range of senior corporate communications roles following a career in political journalism. He was political editor of GMTV.

John Corbet-Milward - Wine Policy Director
John brings a wealth of experience to the WSTA in his role as Wine Policy Director. His areas of responsibility include EU & International issues, Customs & Excise, imported and 'made' wines, technical policy, bottling, packaging, warehousing, logistics, and food safety. He also serves on a number of industry committees at Global, European and UK levels.

Graham Bateman - Spirits Policy Director
Graham joined the WSTA in December 2010 from the Gin and Vodka Association. As Spirits Policy Director he has responsibility for EU & International Issues, CEPS, acting as CEPS rapporteur for REACH, and Customs & Excise and technical policy. Graham also sits on the Spirit Council, the Production Working Group and the RTD Working Group.

Louise Vaux - Membership and Marketing Manager
Louise leads on the key roles of Membership and Marketing at the WSTA. She has responsibility for recruiting new members, working with existing members to maximise their membership value and developing business services. She communicates the work of the WSTA both within the industry and to a wider audience, producing membership and marketing materials and devising and producing industry events.

Louise Foxwell - Spirits Policy Manager
Louise joined the WSTA from the Gin and Vodka Association and works on Spirits policy. With particular expertise in export markets, Louise works on EU and International Issues, WTO, WHO, CEPS and acts as a CEPS Rapporteur for Canada. She is involved with a number of committees including the Spirits Council and the RTD Working Group.

Aileen Keyes - Policy and Campaigns Manager
Aileen works on a range of public affairs issues including leading the WSTA’s public affairs work in Scotland, working on social environmental and logistics issues across the UK and providing secretariat support to the WSTA Logistics Group. Aileen has more than 10 years experience working in politics and public affairs for the Electoral Commission, Royal College of Nursing and for Members of Parliament.

Laura Davies - Policy Manager
Laura leads on the development of the WSTA’s policy work, which helps shape the WSTA’s public affairs activity. She also supports the work of the Alcohol Network Working Groups for the Public Health Responsibility Deal. Laura came to the WSTA with experience in a range of policy areas, most recently as home affairs adviser for the Conservative Party.

Jo McDonald - Technical Policy Adviser
As Technical Policy Advisor Jo’s responsibilities cover Weights and Measures and advice to members on labelling issues. In addition to this, Jo also works on Checklists, Industry Codes of Practice and Standards.

David Tromans - Communications Manager
David is responsible for member communications and runs the distance selling and wine importers panels. His responsibilities include producing newsletters, publications and trade statistics, and managing the WSTA website. He also leads the WSTA’s new Anti-Fraud Unit. David is the second longest serving member of staff at the WSTA and started his career in the wine trade in 1999 working in export sales for Cellier des Dauphins in France and later in retail sales for Berry Bros & Rudd in London.

Carlo Gibbs - Public Affairs Executive
Carlo is the newest member of the WSTA team joining in February 2011. As Public Affairs Executive his work covers a broad range of policy areas including licensing. Carlo also supports the WSTA’s social responsibility work through the Retail of Alcohol Standards Group and Community Alcohol Partnerships. He has responsibility for work in Wales, Northern Ireland and provides secretariat support to the All-Party Wine and Spirit Group.
