The WSTA Logistics Group works to promote and protect the long-term interests of logistics service providers specialising in wine and spirits. The Logistics Group considers and discusses all matters affecting members’ interests and, in consultation with the WSTA Technical Committee and other specialist committees of the Association, develops guidance and information on aspects of Logistics practice relating to the shipment and clearance of wines and spirits. The Logistics Group provides Government, HM Revenue and Customs and other official bodies and trade associations opportunities for conferring with, and ascertaining the views of logistics service providers concerned with wine and spirits movements. The WSTA will enter into negotiations and arrangements with Government departments and other official bodies, port authorities, shipping and transport companies, and trade associations both in the United Kingdom and abroad, for the purpose of promoting the objectives of the Group.
