European Wine & Spirit Regulations
The production, labelling and importation of wines and spirits into the UK is mainly governed by EU law.  The WSTA has expertise in this area and assists its members with compliance to EU regulations governing wines, spirits and other imported alcoholic beverages.

The WSTA publishes ‘Checklists: a comprehensive guide to UK and EU regulations for Wines and Spirits’ which is regularly updated. Available on CD Rom, this publication provides a clear picture of the UK and EU regulatory framework that applies to wines, spirits and RTDs.

Checklists is free for WSTA Members in the members area, and for non-members to purchase on the publications page.

International involvement of the WSTA
The WSTA is involved internationally through its membership of leading wine and spirit trade bodies such as Comité Vins, FIVS (Federation Internationale des Vins et Spiritueux), EFWSID (European Federation of Wine & Spirit Importers and Distributors) and the OIV (Office international de la Vigne et du Vin).
